Emily began her dance career at Dance Works when she was 5 years old. She attended the Rock School Summer Dance Intensive in 2005 and the DeSales University Summer Dance Intensive in 2010. In high school, Emily was involved in dance team and school musicals, including the role of Victoria in Cats, and she was chosen to choreograph for a local middle school musical. Emily went on to continue her training at DeSales Univesity and graduated in 2016 with her BA in Dance and a double minor in Business and Psychology. During her time at DeSales, she worked with Trinette Singleton, Jessica Chen, Jamey Hampton of BodyVox, Becky Moyer, Lynn Wiener, and numerous student choreographers. Her collegiate performances include university productions and screendance festivals; she attended and performed at the American College Dance Association regional conference in both 2014 and 2015; she also volunteered at the 2015 regional International Association for Dance Medicine and Science conference. Emily performed in the LVDE's Cabaret Nights, Convergence: Community Harmony Through Dance, and was featured with the Lehigh Valley Dancers. Her choreographic work was presented locally as well as in New York City as part of the LVDE Dance EXposure Showcase, Ten Tiny Dances, and the Artists in Flight Performance Showcase. Currently she is in her fourth season with The Lady Hoofers Tap Ensemble, Philadelphia’s premier all female professional tap company as both a first company member and rehearsal assistant, performing around Philly and taking part in teaching weekly company class.
