Dance InTENSIVE - Intermediate & Advanced Dancers

  • When: August 12th - 15th, 2024 9am-2pm
  • Who: Dancers who love to dance, create and grow.
  • Cost: $250 for the 20 hours of intensive
This fun, four day intensive will challenge your technique, inspire you to create, ignite your love of dance, and bring out the passion in your dancing. Throughout the week, you will take classes in all genres of dance, including ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap, and more! You will also have a chance to create your own choreography!! Spend time with friends and make some new ones, learn some new skills, dance games, outdoor exercise, dance tricks, and other fun activities.

A Magical Fantasy Princess Camp

In a Barbie World, all campers will learn ballet, jazz, tap, and tumbling. "Lets Go Party" with fun costumes, boas, photo shoots, great music, and more. Crafts, dress up, and a fun show at the end of the week.

For your convenience Dance Works offers our dance families an online account management software system. Families are able to log in to their account to view and print their schedule, track their absences and makeups, update credit card or bank account information, and more!

  • Where to register

    Returning Customers: If you participated in last summer’s dance session, this dance season (whether active or have dropped), or have registered for this summer’s dance session – you will click on Parent Portal Login. New Customers: If you are new and do not fall in one of the above categories, please view “Class Registration” below where you will see our class schedule organized by each day of the week. Click on the day you are interested in coming to dance to see the offerings for that day arranged by time. This makes it easy for you to view classes that start before and after each other for families who like to stack their schedule with multiple classes in one day.

  • How to register

    1. Find the class you are interested in registering for and click the red word “Register” listed to the left of the class name.
    2. Fill out the information requested (fields with asterisks are required.) From there you will also be able to choose additional classes and add additional students.
    3. A credit or debit card or a bank account is required in order to register.
    4. In the event that a class is full, you will see the word “Waitlist” instead of “Register.” To be entered on the waitlist, please click that button and proceed. You will be required to enter payment information, however no payment will be made on the account unless a spot becomes available. If a spot becomes available, we will contact you regarding enrolling in the class.

  • How to use the portal

    After you are enrolled in a class, you will be able to use the Parent Portal. You will create a Parent Portal account by entering the email address and portal password that you provided at registration time. If it is your first time visiting your portal and do not have or do not remember your password, click Forgot your password or need to get started? A password will be sent to the email address you have on file with us. Use that to log in to your account. From there you can change your password–just make sure it has a minimum of 8 characters, 1 of which must be a number.

Our Mission

At Dance Works we strive to provide quality, technical dance training in a family atmosphere. We encourage our dancers to reach their fullest potential and to take the lessons dance provides – discipline, teamwork, creative thinking, self-confidence and more – into their futures in and out of the dance studio.

Dance for all ages

Our Pre Combo classes are designed to introduce our little ones to the marvelous world of dance, nurturing wonder, excitement and a joy-filled experience of learning through the combination of multiple styles

Our beginning to intermediate students will enjoy engaging fun and creative choreography, with classes tailored to help them develop a strong foundation, expand their knowledge and improve technique

Advanced dancers will be motivated and challenged to build upon an already present foundation, while furthering the heights of their technique, ability and passion as performance artists

Teaching children to dance, watching them grow and succeed, helping them reach their goals – is my great love. From coordination exercises and imaginative dance games with preschool to giving guidance, teaching respect and accountability to teens, there is nothing more rewarding for me than my job as a dance educator. I can create and see my visions come to life through my dancers. I can watch this close-knit family grow day by day into beautiful adults. Hopefully, along the way, I have inspired and encouraged these dancers to reach for the stars wherever their life takes them.

It should be about the entire experience, making dance part of your lifestyle and including your local community in your expressive art. Throughout the year, there's many opportunities for students to participate in other activities.

Relay for Life

1 in 3 people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. One of those people could be you or someone you love. That's why we Relay. When you join a Relay For Life event, you're helping the American Cancer Society fund groundbreaking research, crucial patient care programs, and education and prevention information. When you Relay, you help save lives. The money raised through Relay For Life events helps realize the American Cancer Society's mission to save lives, celebrate life, and lead the fight for a world without cancer. Donations are used to fund life-saving cancer research, patient support services, prevention and education information, and detection and treatment programs.

Parades

Each year members of Dance Works proudly participate in the growing Quakertown Halloween parade. Walking through downtown, handing candy to young children in costumes, and dancing through the streets - being one with the community - is what we do best. We've used themes such as "Proud to be an American" in the past to show our support to those around us.Check out our events page for more details.
